Launching the “ROCC-IT”

Introducing the ROCC Interaction Triangle.

Haylee Parfett and ROCC creator Janelle Sampson first shared the ROCC Triangle at the AGOSCI National Conference in 2022  and have since been trialling its use in schools and speech pathology practices.

It has undergone several changes and updates in this time and will likely continue to do so until it is released commercially in the ROCC online assessment as part of an integrated assessment and goal setting process. We hope to launch this later this year with additional structure around use and guidance for next steps.

In the meantime, we have decided to share the paper version to ensure that the most current ROCC-IT (ROCC Interaction Triangle) is available for trial and to guide goal setting and avoid the use of outdated versions.

PLEASE NOTE: If you intend to use this document within your organisation, please use it as created by ROCC without modification and be sure to reference this website so that any updates can be found. This document is not to be modified or recreated for use within an organisation without permission.

We have noted some brief instructions on the attached document to explain its use but as it is still being trialled and refined these may change. We intend to release further information and training related to the ROCC-IT as the process is finalised but in the meantime, the instructions listed on the document provide an overview of its purpose and how it is to be used. Please do not remove these instructions if you intend to use it in its current form.

We appreciate the input and feedback we have received from our trial sites to date and believe that the use of the ROCC-IT in conjunction with the ROCC online assessment can assist teams in targeted goal setting and selection of strategies. The trial process is crucial to ensuring that we meet the needs of all individuals and provide the best general guidance possible. The ROCC-IT is a guide, not a specific program and is best used alongside a knowledgeable individual who can reinforce the selection of target goals or deviate from them in cases that do not fit the more typical patterns.

We are very interested in feedback and comments regarding the ROCC-IT as we continue to refine and update. Please contact us with any suggestions.
